Bubbling Underneath The Surface…

I’ve been super sensitive to shift occurring all around in these first couple of months of the year. To others, and then, it turns out – to me! (Or perhaps that’s ‘for me’…?)

So I’ve been in a period of pausing and while I’m itching to make some decisions, I find myself having to wait while my thoughts collect. You know when you’re thinking about something, and the thoughts just can’t find a firm foundation…?

I sense that there’s something bubbling up underneath the surface…

And I guess sometimes, you simply have to have a modicum of patience and allow what needs a reset in the background to show itself – in its own good time!

Because you can’t rush decisions, can you? Unfoldings will occur in their own time and space…

Making decisions becomes tough when we stay stuck in our own way. Because clearly decisions can happen in an instant – a click of a fingers. If only we’re open to them…

Getting out of our own way is part and parcel of mitigating the pain – stepping around the resistance, and, arguably, focusing on what we have any kind of control over…

When we don’t allow the new to find its way to the surface (and embrace it) that’s when the pain finds a footing – when we’re battling with letting go of the old.

And of course making conscientious decisions doesn’t come without due consideration, but allowing, staying present and focusing on what you can influence aids the process now end, I have found. For me that’s running, yoga, breathwork (creating my own movement essentially!) plus sorting and clearing some space for the new to arrive, knowing that everything it temporary, that this too will pass, and that something will arrive – when its ready! – to take you to the embark on the next step of the journey.

When there’s stuff bubbling underneath the surface, what’s your strategy for enabling the inevitable shift in your life?
